Gran Canaria is the hottest Canary island in February. There were 30 degrees last february, when I went to Puerto Rico (a village located in the warmest part of Gran canaria in winter).
Hottest canary island in february
The hottest Canary islands in February perfect for a beach holiday are Tenerife, southern part and Gran Canaria, Southwest area.
Spend a warm holiday in Tenerife or Gran Canaria is cheap. These islands are easy to reach by frequent low cost air flights company like Ryanair. Fair prices.
In general, the Canary Islands have a mild climate all year around but not all the 7 spanish islands are so warm.
For those who want to spend the winter monthsat the beach, sunbathing, I would exclude, for climatic reasons, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote: in this islands is better to go in summer-spring.
Playa Amadores in December
HOTTEST CANARY ISLAND in February| Gran Canaria
The best area to spend New Year in Gran Canaria and the winter months is in the southwestern towns of the island: due to its geography, this area remains protected by strong winds. For this reason it is the warmer and the sunniest canary islands.
Puerto Rico Beach in february
I have a holiday apartment in Gran Canaria so... if you are looking for a hotel or apartment for Christmas in the Puerto Rico, Arguineguin or Playa de Amadores area, I advise you to book early.
This advice should not be considered during the "Covid" months, when the flow of tourism is reduced. Indeed, traveling to the Canaries, at this time, is quite cheap and the beaches are not as crowded as usual.
Usually, it is quit difficult to find cheap apartments "last second" in New Year's Eve" in the hottest part of Gran Canaria because half of European people is wintering here.
So if you have not booked in advance and you are at the last minute wanting to organize a holiday in Gran Canaria, you can stay in the neighboring countries.
The New Year's Eve of Playa del Inglรฉs and Maspalomas is a good alternative if you do not find an accommodation in the southwest area of Gran Canaria. The Maspalomas beach is wide but windy and colder than Puerto Rico, Amadores and Puerto de Mogan beaches BUT from Maspalomas you can get to these beaches by bus or car, just 10-15 km away.

We have just booked to go to Fuerteventura end of March but worried now what I'm reading about the wind we want sun and warm please advise me. We have booked Costa Calma as we were told it's a quiet place. We are both in our 70s
There is a warm and sunny climate, but it is a windy island. Don't worry, the Canary Islands are sub-tropical islands, you will return home tanned. Next year I suggest you book a vacation in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. https://youtu.be/-Q_uY1cuslE
Hi, welcome!
I'm Moira,
for several years, I lived in Gran Canaria, renting apartments to tourists from all over the world. Now I'm co-host and manage my online business: I live in Italy BUT in winter I "escape" to the Canary Islands!
