You can also enjoy Playa de las Cucharas, which although its waters are very calm, the wind blows a lot.

Costa Teguise is much quieter than nearby Puerto del Carmen, it also has a great selection of restaurants, bars and pubs. 

Playa Blanca : If our budget is higher , we can visit the Puerto Deportivo Marina Rubicón . Exclusive bars and restaurants for those who want a more cachet nightlife.

Arrecife : it is the perfect place if what you want is to know the local tastes when going out. There are places for all ages and this animated by all kinds of musical styles .

Cactus Garden

Created by César Marique, it is a mixture of a Zen garden with a sculptural museum, all made with hundreds of species of cactus, both indigenous to the Canary Islands, as well as America and Africa.

We can also visit a restored traditional windmill inside.

Papagayo Beach

Perhaps the most famous of the Ajaches beaches is Playa Papagayo, a small cove surrounded by cliffs and with turquoise blue waters. 

It has several services such as parking and a small restaurant.

Caleta De Famara

The best place to sleep in Lanzarote for surfing is Famara. 

Famara beach is worth a visit. I liked it a lot because it is wide surrounded by mountains that make the place suggestive. The town bordering the beach is frequented mostly by surfers, the atmosphere is hippy and relaxing. There are a couple of restaurants, shops that rent and sell equipment to practice this sport and a surf school.

This is also not the classic tourist resort but a place on a human scale surrounded by nature where there are cheap apartments to stay. It is located in the north west of the island and I recommend staying here only if you love to kitesurfing or surfing.
