• Is Costa Adeje windy?

Costa Adeje is not so windy. It is as not windy as Fuerteventura or Lanzarote. The resorts in the south-east part of Tenerife are more sheltered by strong winds.

The windiest part of Tenerife is on the west and north coasts. In these areas the climate is colder, cloudy and rainy than in the southern areas.

Tenerife is an Island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean so yes, it is windy.
In the southern tourist resorts, like Costa Adeje, the climate is warm in winter.

Windiest resorts in Tenerife

Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz are the windiest resorts in Tenerife.

• Puerto de la Cruz 

Santa Cruz de Tenerife has a beautiful long beach, about 1,5km, of golden sand: Las Teresitas. It is located in San Andrés.

Las Teresitas

Las Teresitas is beautiful but is a windy beach. Best for summer holiday rather winter season considering that the Norther part of Tenerife is quite rainy and windy. The waves have been reduced thanks to the breakwaters. As you can see in the pic.

Another attraction of Puerto della Cruz is Lake Martianez. It is composed by different swimming pools with salt water, volcanic rocks and palm trees overlooking the ocean. It is not a heated pool.
